3000+ Underneath Acoustic Live (2003) Caps
I never realized it until I started capping it, but this might be my favorite live DVD. There are things I absolutely love from all of them, and all the behind the scenes stuff from "Road To Albertane" is fun, but there are so many moments during this show that I just can't get enough of.

Zac Solo! Yay! More instrument swapping and Zac smilage. Makes me happy.


Teach Your Children...


I find it hard to choose favorite performances from this DVD, but "Teach Your Children" is definitely top 5. Those Zac/Tay harmonies on the second verse are just... wow. The whole song gives me goosebumps. Seriously. I can't imagine anyone listening to that performance and not admitting Hanson sound incredible.


When You're Gone...


Ahhh! Zac on guitar. No, wait, all 3 Hansons on guitar! Does it get any hotter than that? (sorry, I seem to have a thing for guitar players)


With You In Your Dreams...


Note: I usually hate it when the fans yell things out, but I thought it was hilarious when that girl yelled out "Zac you sexy beast!" (I think that's what she said. It's what I would have said. lol) and everyone laughed. At least they weren't performing at the time, Tay was just talking. And if people waited for Tay to stop talking before they said anything... they'd never get to say anything.


I don't know what to say about this song. I loved it the first time I heard it (almost 11 years ago... wow.) and I still love it now.

I love this shot for some reason. I also kinda love Taylor's arms. Is that wrong? :\ Seriously, the boy is all limbs!


Ain't No Sunshine...


Okay, I'm sorry, this is an Ike song and I will focus on him in a minute, I swear, but DUDE. Sometimes I stupidly forget just how doable Taylor is and then he goes and does something like this, with the hair and the eyes closed and the snapping fingers and being totally into the music... and I wanna pounce on him all over again. (I swear, my first love is their music, but when I'm looking at these caps and trying to think of something to say, there is no music, there's just hot boys! *cries*)


Another awesome cover. Love it when Ike gets totally lost in performing, 'cos you know he's having a good time and it's always better when they're having a good time.


Hand In Hand...


Ike's so frickin' cute. His reaction to the audience celebrating when he said he got his ex-girlfriend back for cheating on him was adorable.


Ike Solo! I gotta say, I was never big on this song on the This Time Around album, but it totally has an amazing new energy when he performs it live. There are a couple of other Hanson songs that I like but don't love the album version of, but the live version always blows me the hell away.


Crazy Beautiful...


Tay solo! Yay for Crazy Beautiful! It was always one of my favorite songs from Underneath, but it's so different live and acoustic and with just Tay and a piano... it's f-ing incredible. The end is just... *dies*. I can watch that part over and over again. lol


Penny & Me...


Maybe I'm imagining it, but it seemed like they were all so relaxed and happy playing this song.


Where's The Love...


I don't know why, but it still always surprises me how well Where's The Love translates acoustically. It rocks.


Deeper...


After SETB, I'm never able to listen to this song without hearing Tay telling Ike to just pull the pickle out of his booty and sing. Hehe. Oh, how I adore these boys.



Oh my gosh, a second Boy Fanson sighting in one night, and they're even more active than they were before!


You Never Know...


I love this song on the album, but it's even better live. They just get so into it. Especially Zac on the drums (but thats true of a lot of the more rockin' songs). It's amazing his head doesn't fall off from the amount of head banging he does! How anyone could watch them throwing themselves into performing like that and not "shake it", as Tay would say, is crazy, IMO. I can't sit still just watching the damn DVD!


MMMBop...


My favorite part of this performance is always gonna be the... pre-performance. lol When Ike starts playing and then suddenly stops because his guitar needs tuning. And Zac tries to keep the audience entertained by singing "We're tunin', we're tunin', make it funky, make it funky!" (or is it "makin' it funky"? I thought it was, but apparently no one else does. lol Oh well, whatever, it was funny.)

This song also needs to borrow Zac's t-shirt when Ike's done with it.


Rip It Up...

Ike, have I told you lately that I love you?

Yet another kick ass cover song, this one is in my top 3 favorite perfomances on this DVD. It's just so very Hanson to me. It's a classic rock n roll song, they get into it, they clearly love performing it, they have a lot of fun, they get the audience into it... those are all things I think Hanson live is all about.

This Time Around...


Possibly another top 3 performance from Underneath Acoustic Live, simply because I've always loved the song, I love this performance and hearing the audience singing at the end makes my heart happy every damn time I hear it (if you were in the audience that night, thank you!)!

I look at this and pretend Tay is totally freaked out by how similar Ike and Zac are and is probably thinking "Dude. We spend way too much time together."




I think that one of the things I always loved most about these guys, aside from the fabulous music, is how much fun they seem to have together. It makes it fun to be a fan.

A Boy Fanson actually approaches the camera! This guy was crazy. "Where you at next, Hanson? We're comin' there, too!" Heheee.
